Happiness
Happiness. You find it in the little moments of life. Having a cup of two euro wine with a speculoos crêpe on a Friday night in Paris is a little moment, part of a long, stressful week of work, but spending that two hours with two wonderful friends (who you’re not sure how you even met) makes it all worth it. If I start rambling here about the meaning of life, ignore me as it’s very possible that this is the wine talking, but also, don’t forget about these little moments. Because these are the times that you will remember. These are the times that are gonna make it all worth it. Sometimes months go by without a single moment like this and sometimes weekends are filled with them, but always remember that it’s worth sticking around for the next ones. Because that is what life is. Sticking around for the moments that aren’t filled with pain and loneliness and depression but with laughing until your insides hurt at stupid jokes and feeling the December night air sting against your face and looking up at the stars imagining those you’ve lost, looking down on you. Those are the moments, where it seems better to stick around than to be up there in the clouds. Because while life might seem appealing up there with the stars, without the stresses and complications of everyday life, that life will also be without those moments. And that, would be a shame to miss out on.
