Dreamers

Dreamers. Dreamers make the impossible, possible. Dreamers do what no one has dared to do before – without them our world is meaningless. Leonardo da Vinci dreamt up inventions, drew what he desired to capture, captured the human form in a way no one had managed to do before. Nobody taught him to do that, he didn’t copy anyone, but he was inspired by everything around him. His château on La Loire tells me exactly that. It’s crazy to walk through the gardens of someone’s house from 200 years ago and be perfectly able to imagine them walking down the very same paths, to know why someone chose the location and see the very things that must have inspired them oh so long ago, to see the incredible clash of science and art, creating something new and powerful, and be inspired by it all too. Dreamers are essential to our world. They are erratic, original, different. Our world discriminates against them, but we need them, not only to progress but to feel alive. Being and feeling alive – is what life is all about.
